From all of the BellaCrafts team, we would like to wish you all a very healthy and happy New Year!!
With a new beginning and fresh start,
Full of inspiration and positive thoughts,
Let's begin this year with an optimistic thought.

Taken from the poem ‘A new start and a fresh beginning’ by Somya
The New Year is traditionally celebrated as the time to embrace new beginnings and many cultures around the world welcome the New Year in with rituals to attract good fortune. (Others with prosecco, hehe!). Whatever your beliefs, the New Year is generally seen as a chance to cast off the old and start the new! Many of us also feel inspired to use the New Year as an opportunity to start with a clean slate, to reset or change our habits...have you made any resolutions this year?

As a small business we are always looking for new ideas and opportunities to grow, expand and improve! What you may not know about our lovely team is that we do not sit around knitting and sipping tea! Far from it, in the days of brexit, internet shopping and the death of the high street every business has had to up their game and work harder to stay alive and we are no different. So yes, as a team we all have our “big goals” which are driven by our passion for the business and our lovely customers. We are all very busy bee’s with a bigger, shinier and even more sparkly BellaCrafts at the forefront of our minds!
(that doesn’t mean that we don’t have a knit and a cuppa from time to time though!)

So, what will be doing to improve in 2019 I hear you ask!

Well we’ve already begun with something that’s been on our “dream business” list for a while… Instagramer’s hello! Yes that’s right, we have our launched our Instagram account and are really excited to see some of our lovely customers and business friends have started following us already :)

We’ll be sharing all our shiny new products, latest workshops and our favourite customer makes! We’d love to see what you are up to as well! Feel free to include #bellacrafts in all your projects or visits to us.
Yes exciting stuff, but what else I hear you ask!

We will also be launching our first FREE Demo’s, yes, FREE Demo’s! We will be hosting these the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month outside school holidays. We really can’t wait to start these and hope that it will help our lovely customers to resolve some questions about mysterious craft projects, be inspired by new ideas and learn something you may never have done otherwise.
24th Jan – Scrapbooking
14th Feb – Stamping & Card Making
28th Feb – Heat Embossing
These will be running at 12-1pm and 2-3pm on each of the days above and did we mention, they are free! Just click the images for more information and to book.

Safe to say we are very excited. We will also be looking to launch our own products, but this is one we are keeping a little bit secret, for now… keep your eyes peeled! Further to this we are planning more charity and fundraising events and reduce our impact on the environment. We will let you know more when we have more news, but that’s enough about us, what are your new year resolutions and how can we help?
Learn a New Skill
The New Year is a brilliant opportunity to learn a new skill so why not pick up a new craft or skill. Our Cake and Craft workshops run every Tuesday and Wednesday between 12-1pm for just £12. It is a great way to take an hour out for yourself such as felting, paper folding, stamping, card making and more! Did we stress enough that there will be cake...there goes one resolution, hehe! Just click the image for all our dates!
Be Happier
Maybe your resolution is to put some of those negative things that have held you back in 2018 behind you. You might be looking to gain some confidence, overcome stress , manage your weight or stop smoking. Luckily we know someone who can help, our lovely Mandy Papas! She will be back hosting her Mindful Crafting and Networking Event on Wednesday 30th January. We have been inspired by her events in 2018 and it’s amazing how the choice to spend some time and money on yourself can do, let alone Mandy’s inspiring story and brilliant workshop.
Make more Family Time
This is something that we at BellaCrafts feel very strongly about, in this modern age, with busy lives and smartphones it is so easy to be distracted and forget the important things in life. One of the things that makes our day is seeing a family, a couple, a father and son, just spending some quality time together. It is one of the reasons why we setup our drop in activities which you can simply pop in to any time of the week, choose a project and enjoy spending some time together. Projects include pottery painting, decopatch, glass painting, fabric painting and more! So do make some time for your loved ones and come and make with us.
Plan your Wedding
Did you get engaged over Christmas and the New Year? (I think Hugh Jackman may have misplaced my wedding proposal last year...will add to list of things to do this year, hehe).
If you are planning a wedding this year, or just like to hang out among wedding things (is this just me?) we are planning 3 bridal open days for this coming year. The first of these will be from 26th to 27th January where we will be showcasing beautiful stationery and jewellery, local floristry and cake making. You will also be able to pick up some goodies to make your own wedding decorations and accessories. We will of course be on hand for advice regarding products and bespoke creations.
We are of course here for your crafting needs 7 days a week and you can contact us at anytime via phone, email or Facebook if would like to chat some more about what we do and what we can offer you. We love to meet fellow crafters and hope that we can advise and inspire you. For those hours when we are closed (although our brains are always planning the next make / event) you can follow us on Pinterest for further inspiration - https://www.pinterest.co.uk/bellacraftsltd

Until next time BellaCraft friends
