Everything you need to know:
-You will be welcomed with a range of old garments that need a new lease of life
-Choose to transform your chosen garment into something totally new - a dress, dungerees, fancy dress, it's all up to your imagination.
-There will be a selection of ribbons, elastics, buttons and scraps for you to use to transform your new garment.
-The aim of the competition is to demonstrate how something old can be given new life and help to emphasise how we can all aim for more sustainability in our day to day lives.
-Merit will be awarded for wear-ability, durability and creativity.
What to bring:
-Please bring your own sewing equipment with you including scissors, pinking shears, needles, seam rippers and a sewing machine.
We will provide old garments, scraps, embellishments, power points for machines and space for you to get creative.
Please be aware this workshop will take place in our Court Yard View room which is located on the 1st floor up a winding staircase.
